Numentica LLC is hiring a QA Engineer to build and maintain automated UI, API, integration, and end-to-end tests. The role focuses on application quality, data validation, system integrations, CI/CD testing, AWS troubleshooting, and performance testing.

The position is remote, with an onsite interview and onsite onboarding required during the first week. After onboarding, the role will transition to the agreed remote arrangement.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain UI and API automation tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create and maintain tests using the Page Object Model.
• Test REST APIs using Postman or Playwright’s request client.
• Validate API status codes, data, error handling, and application behavior.
• Write SQL queries to validate data in PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
• Perform integration and end-to-end testing across systems such as Deposco, Oracle, Snowflake, and SharePoint.
• Run automated tests through GitHub Actions and support CI/CD workflows.
• Investigate failures using AWS CloudWatch logs.
• Work with AWS services including Lambda, IAM, and Terraform.
• Perform load and performance testing using tools such as JMeter.
• Use Datadog and monitoring data to identify performance issues.
• Help determine whether defects originate in the frontend, backend, or infrastructure.

What You’ll Need

• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript automation.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman or Playwright’s request client.
• Ability to write and understand SQL queries.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Snowflake database testing.
• Experience with integration and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with GitHub, branches, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of AWS, Lambda, IAM, Terraform, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with performance or load testing using JMeter.
• Ability to analyze monitoring data using Datadog.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures and identify the likely root cause.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing applications across multiple data and enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of frontend vs. backend defect analysis.
• Experience with cloud-based application troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with automated performance testing and application monitoring.
