Light & Wonder is hiring a Software QA Engineer for its iGaming division in Pune, testing the online gaming content and software that powers some of the world’s most successful iGaming providers. You’ll act as the first line of defense for catching functionality issues before games reach players, and hold sign-off responsibility for what gets released to production.

What You’ll Do

• Rigorously test software to confirm everything works as intended before release.
• Act as the first line of defense in catching functionality issues within games.
• Own QA sign-off responsibility before anything moves to production.
• Apply standard QA processes to review bugs, test cases, and supporting documentation.
• Build, maintain, and run test plans and test scripts for both existing and new game themes and features.
• Log, track, and follow issues through to resolution in the bug tracking system (JIRA).
• Verify that live game events match their intended design and behave correctly.
• Use debugging, admin, and external tools to diagnose, reproduce, and pin down issues.
• Reproduce reported issues to help development teams resolve them faster.
• Put together status reports and documentation for supervisors.
• Shift priorities quickly with minimal downtime as needs change.

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software testing experience.
• QA experience in free-to-play gaming is a plus, as is web/mobile testing experience.
• Comfort juggling multiple tasks and working through ambiguity on complex problems.
• Experience working closely with engineering, design, and art disciplines in a collaborative setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite and related add-ons.
• A results-driven, positive attitude suited to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of software test methodologies and the overall product development lifecycle.
• Strong technical knowledge of computers and mobile devices, with the ability to troubleshoot them effectively.

Interview Process

Candidates should expect at least one face-to-face round as part of the process: a technical interview, a director interview, and an HR discussion.
