Scion Technology is hiring a Remote QA Tester for a contract role supporting a highly respected organization following a major database migration. You’ll join a close-knit team during a critical period, confirming data accuracy and system performance held up through the move.

What You’ll Do

• Validate data accuracy and consistency using SQL queries, comparing results against pre-migration datasets.
• Document and report bugs or discrepancies using standard QA tools such as Jira.
• Collaborate closely with developers, database engineers, and analysts to resolve issues.
• Conduct regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm systems meet business requirements.
• Confirm post-migration system performance and stability.
• Maintain detailed, organized test plans and documentation.

What You’ll Need

• 2+ years of experience in QA, software testing, or a related technical role.
• Ability to write and run basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience documenting test cases and using QA bug-tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams.
• A proactive, collaborative attitude.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, automation tools, or prior post-migration QA experience.
