Payforge is hiring a Senior SDET to help shape how quality gets built into everything the engineering team ships, right from the first line of code. You’ll develop high-coverage, maintainable automation frameworks and work closely with developers, DevOps, and quality engineering pods to deliver AI-augmented, continuous quality across projects ranging from fintech platforms to rapid MVP builds and legacy system modernization.

What You’ll Do

• Adapt testing strategy to each project’s archetype — Startup, Enterprise, Fintech, or Legacy.
• Build and maintain test automation frameworks covering unit, API, UI, and performance layers.
• Build scalable, containerized test environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and service virtualization.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and similar tools).
• Contribute to model-based test design using mind maps, test model generators, and Gherkin.
• Champion shift-left practices such as mutation testing and Git pre-commit hooks.
• Build observability-based testing using logs, metrics, and traces.
• Drive test intelligence reporting through dashboards like Grafana, Allure, and ReportPortal.
• Apply AI-based tools for flaky test detection, auto-healing, and intelligent test prioritization.
• Contribute to internal quality initiatives that scale reusable test assets across teams.

What You’ll Need

• Strong coding skills in Java, JavaScript, or Python for test automation.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools across UI (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress), API (Postman, REST Assured), and performance (Gatling, k6, JMeter) testing.
• Deep understanding of BDD (Cucumber/Gherkin) and exploratory testing practices.
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Solid command of CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with test design across web, mobile, APIs, and microservices.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of contract testing (Pact or similar).
• Exposure to observability tools like Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
• Familiarity with AI-based testing tools for test generation and flaky test detection.
• Experience testing ETL pipelines, LLM applications, or data compliance systems.
• Understanding of regulatory testing requirements such as HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, or PCI-DSS.
