Job Description

Meso Scale Diagnostics (MSD) is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to support the testing of major components of current and future software products.

The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for independently developing, maintaining, improving, and executing both manual and automated testing frameworks. The role involves working closely with software developers and other departments to ensure software products meet quality, performance, and reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, improve, maintain, and execute manual and automated testing frameworks.
• Develop and execute smoke tests and tests for software patches, internal releases, and full product releases.
• Develop and execute end-to-end, operational, and performance tests.
• Coordinate testing efforts and resources with other departments as needed.
• Verify and validate software products and provide official verification results.
• Assist in creating release documentation and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
• Review, improve, and audit software verification and validation processes.
• Analyze requirements and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot testing frameworks and resolve issues encountered during automated test development.
• Communicate testing issues, problems, and results that may affect timelines, accuracy, or reliability of test data.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of software testing experience covering a full software development life cycle.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have working knowledge of:

• Selenium WebDriver
• Postman
• Java
• Python
• Version control software
• Bug-tracking software

The following experience or knowledge is desirable:

• Test management software
• Scripting
• Build tools
• Databases
• Software installations

Work Environment

This position may be performed primarily remotely or in a traditional office environment as needed.

The role requires the ability to communicate and exchange information, use equipment necessary to perform the job, and move around the office when required.

Salary

The annual base salary range for this position is:

$88,100 – $134,400 per year

The actual offer may vary depending on factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position, market conditions, and the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience.
