Akamai’s IT DevOps SDET team is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to validate the enterprise applications supporting the company’s marketing, sales, and customer engagement systems — testing integrations, data, automation, and platforms across UI, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems like Salesforce, Oracle HCM, and Oracle Financials.

What You’ll Do

• Work with Business Analysts and developers to create test suites and test cases for new requirements, change requests, and projects.
• Design, develop, and execute test suites across database, API, integration, and performance testing, with full traceability.
• Identify, evaluate, and automate suitable test cases using the right automation tools for the job.
• Automate functional test cases in Python or Java, optionally incorporating AI to streamline the process.
• Use AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and MCP for test design, automation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and human validation.

What You’ll Need

• B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent degree, with 2+ years of QA experience and solid knowledge of the SDLC, QA methodologies, and testing lifecycle.
• Practical experience testing cloud ERP/CRM platforms such as Oracle HCM, Oracle Financials, or Salesforce, across functional, API, and integration validation.
• Strong Python or Java automation skills, with experience building or enhancing test automation frameworks.
• Basic SQL knowledge for writing and analyzing queries and validating backend data.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Jenkins or similar engineering tools.
• A self-driven, collaborative approach to problem-solving, with strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning and quality.
