About Meeru AI

Meeru AI is building an AI-native platform that transforms how finance and accounting teams operate. The platform connects to ERPs, CRMs, billing platforms, and HRIS systems, then applies machine learning to produce auditable intelligence for CFOs, controllers, and FP&A leaders. Deployments run as SaaS multi-tenant, SaaS single-tenant, or on-premises, spanning AWS, Azure, and GCP, and the customer base is largely Fortune 500 finance teams that need strict data isolation, auditability, and compliance.

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on leadership role centered on building out QA and test automation from the ground up, so a lot of the responsibility is implicit in the depth of the requirements below: building automation frameworks from scratch across API, UI, and backend tests, defining QA standards and metrics, and leading people day to day through hiring, 1:1s, reviews, and mentoring.

What You’ll Need

  • 8+ years in QA and test automation, including 3+ years leading people (hiring, 1:1s, reviews, mentoring)
  • Experience building automation frameworks from scratch across API, UI, and backend tests
  • Strong Python and TypeScript/JavaScript skills (PyTest for backend, TypeScript for frontend)
  • Deep API testing experience: REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, including contract, negative, and auth testing
  • End-to-end UI testing with Playwright or Cypress against React/Next.js apps
  • Backend and database testing with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy
  • CI/CD integration with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI, plus Docker/Kubernetes
  • Performance and load testing with k6, Locust, or JMeter, plus Lighthouse checks
  • Security testing: SAST/DAST tools, plus authentication, role-based access, and encryption testing
  • Multi-tenant SaaS testing, including proving tenant data isolation
  • Compliance-driven testing for SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA
  • Cloud experience, with AWS preferred and GCP or Azure welcome
  • Ability to define QA standards, metrics, KPIs, release and regression procedures, and runbooks
  • Clear communication with Product, Engineering, and DevOps in an Agile/Scrum setup

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing LLM or agentic AI applications, including non-deterministic outputs and bias checks (LangChain/LangGraph a plus)
  • FinTech or financial services background
  • Startup experience
  • Observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or New Relic
  • Chaos engineering and resilience testing
  • Test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Jira-based tools
  • Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced or AWS Developer/Solutions Architect
  • Open-source contributions, technical writing, or conference talks
