This is a full-time, remote UniData Software Engineer role at Mindex, a Rochester, NY-based software development company. The role supports the full software development lifecycle, focusing on the UniData database environment and MultiValue Pick BASIC programming, developing and maintaining applications while collaborating with other engineers in an Agile environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop technical software solutions, including software architecture, based on customer requirements.
• Write and perform testing aligned with agreed-upon methodologies, and assist in identifying and fixing bugs.
• Document application aspects for future upgrades, and use AI-assisted tools to enhance productivity and innovation.

What You’ll Need

• AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
• Knowledge of DesignBasic and experience using AI tools within the UniData ecosystem.
• Familiarity with the PrismHR application and experience developing and integrating APIs.
• Experience working with EDI file formats.
