When winter chills set in, my crockpot becomes my best friend. There’s nothing better than coming home to a house filled with the aroma of a warm, hearty meal. Here are my 27 favorite winter crockpot recipes, each with ingredients and step-by-step procedures from my own cozy kitchen.

1. Irish Beef Stew
Ingredients:
2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed
4 carrots, sliced
4 potatoes, cubed
1 onion, chopped
3 cups beef broth
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp thyme
Salt and pepper
Procedure:
Add beef, carrots, potatoes, and onion to the crockpot.
Stir in broth, tomato paste, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Cook on low for 8 hours or until beef is tender
2. Slow Cooker Chicken Tikka Masala
Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cubed
1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 cup heavy cream
Procedure:
Place chicken, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, and spices in the crockpot.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
Stir in cream and cook 30 more minutes before serving
3. Potato Soup
Ingredients:
6 large potatoes, peeled and diced
1 onion, chopped
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded cheddar
1/2 cup sour cream
Salt and pepper
Procedure:
Add potatoes, onion, and broth to the crockpot.
Cook on low for 7 hours.
Mash some potatoes for thickness, then stir in milk, cheese, and sour cream.
Heat until cheese melts
4. Crockpot Chicken Cacciatore
Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1 bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cups marinara sauce
1 zucchini, sliced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Procedure:
Layer chicken, vegetables, and sauce in the crockpot.
Sprinkle with seasoning.

Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken breast, cubed
1 package tater tots
1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
1 packet ranch seasoning
2 cups shredded cheddar
Procedure:
Layer half the tater tots, chicken, bacon, ranch, and cheese.
Repeat layers.
Cook on low for 6 hours
7. Slow Cooker Black Bean Soup
Ingredients:
2 cans black beans, drained
1 onion, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 cups vegetable broth
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
Procedure:
Add all ingredients to the crockpot.
Cook on low for 8 hours.
Blend half for a creamy texture
8. Slow Cooker Beef Barley Soup
Ingredients:
1 lb beef stew meat
3 carrots, sliced
2 celery stalks, sliced
1 onion, diced
1 cup barley
6 cups beef broth
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients in the crockpot.
Cook on low for 8 hours
9. Crockpot Chicken Corn Chowder
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts
3 potatoes, diced
2 cups corn
1 onion, chopped
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup cream
Procedure:
Add chicken, potatoes, corn, onion, and broth to the crockpot.
Cook on low for 7 hours.

Add all ingredients except pasta to the crockpot.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
Add pasta last 30 minutes4.

4 chicken breasts
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper

Place chicken in crockpot.

Cook on low for 6 hours

Ingredients:

1 can white beans
