About RhythmScience

RhythmScience builds clinical-grade remote monitoring software for cardiac care. Cardiology practices and health systems across the US use its platform to monitor thousands of patients. It is a growing Series A company building the infrastructure layer for cardiac care delivery.

About the Role

RhythmScience wants an engineer who takes hands-on ownership of software quality, including building automated test coverage and working with product to create test plans before development starts.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain automated end-to-end and regression tests in Playwright, and keep them reliable in CI/CD
  • Run functional, regression, and integration testing across the web and mobile apps
  • Work directly with product and engineering on test plans for new features, joining early and helping define acceptance criteria rather than validating a finished spec
  • Help define release readiness criteria and quality gates as the team grows
  • Triage, reproduce, and clearly document defects
  • Track quality signals such as escaped defects, coverage, and flake rate, and share them with the team
  • Improve testing tools and processes as the company scales

What You’ll Need

  • At least 3 years of software QA experience with hands-on automation work in Playwright or an equivalent tool
  • Ability to write test plans from product requirements and own them through release
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • A pragmatic, self-directed approach in a fast-moving startup, building process rather than just following it
  • US-based, with solid Pacific Time overlap for daily work with product and engineering
  • Strong written communication for clear, reproducible bug reports and test documentation

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing HIPAA-compliant systems, or an understanding of protected health information (PHI) handling requirements
  • API testing experience or familiarity with EHR integrations using HL7 or FHIR
  • Background in healthcare SaaS, remote patient monitoring (RPM), or clinical data platforms

What’s On Offer

  • Base salary of $95,000 to $125,000, depending on experience
  • Meaningful equity at a growth-stage company
  • Full benefits
  • A remote-first culture
