About the Role
Loancrate builds AI-native mortgage software and is hiring its first dedicated QA engineer. The role sits inside Engineering and Product rather than an operations group. - Find bugs, including visual issues, validation failures, calculation errors, data persistence problems, and dropped integration fields
- Write reproducible bug reports with steps, expected versus actual behavior, and supporting screenshots or recordings
- Build and maintain a regression suite of manual test cases and lightweight automation (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Run pre-release verification and sign off on release readiness
- Take part in design reviews and help make features testable
- Define QA processes, including SOPs, bug severity rubrics, and release checklists
- Over 12 to 18 months, hire, train, and lead a QA team

You’ll test the core product surfaces, deliver a first version of a QA playbook, build an initial regression suite covering high-value flows, and set up regular working cadences with Engineering and Product.
