About the Role

NTT DATA is looking for a senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) with 8+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, and software development. The role is hands-on and centers on building scalable automation frameworks, embedding testing in CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Design and maintain UI, API, and end-to-end automation frameworks
• Write automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
• Work with engineering, product, and DevOps teams across the software development lifecycle
• Review requirements and technical designs to improve quality and testability
• Investigate defects and drive ongoing quality improvements
• Mentor teammates and promote quality engineering best practices

What You’ll Need

• 8+ years of SDET, QA automation, or quality engineering experience, with strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools
• 5+ years of REST API testing, using tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, or Postman
• 5+ years of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, plus proficiency with Git/GitHub

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Docker and Kubernetes
• Performance and security testing
• Observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, or similar
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Work Arrangement

The role is onsite in Plano, Texas. NTT DATA hires locally whenever possible, into its offices or client sites. Remote or hybrid options exist for many positions but may change with client needs, and employees near an NTT DATA office or client site may be required to attend in person for meetings or events.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting pay range is $96,800 to $145,200 per year, depending on experience, technical skills, and other qualifications, and the role may be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
