About the Role

Tether is looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also owns manual testing for its desktop and mobile applications.

What You’ll Do

You’ll build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for the critical user flows, integrate those tests into CI/CD pipelines, and keep them fast and reliable. When tests fail, you’ll investigate the failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments. You’ll report clear, reproducible bugs and verify the fixes, work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria, and perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features. You’ll choose manual or automated coverage based on risk and maintain the regression suites.

  • Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable

  • Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
  • Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk, and maintain regression suites

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions)
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO plus Appium for mobile
  • Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices
  • Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output
  • Excellent English communication skills
