Rayda is hiring an experienced Contract QA Engineer to help keep its products reliable and stable across web applications, APIs, integrations, and AI-powered desktop features. This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable working independently in a fast-paced product environment, working closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and fellow QA team members to catch issues early, validate new features, and keep releases meeting quality standards.

What You’ll Do

• Review product requirements, designs, and technical specs to catch potential quality issues before they ship.
• Build and maintain thorough test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Run functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Test web applications across different browsers and devices.
• Test REST APIs, validating requests, responses, authentication, data integrity, and edge cases.
• Validate complex business workflows including onboarding, procurement, orders, RFQs, pricing, subscriptions, payments, and device lifecycle management.
• Test integrations with third-party services and external systems.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Work directly with engineers to investigate, reproduce, and resolve defects.
• Run regression testing after bug fixes and before production releases.
• Take part in release testing and give QA sign-off or release-readiness feedback.
• Check data consistency across frontend, backend, APIs, and databases where relevant.
• Test AI-powered features for functionality, reliability, response quality, and edge cases.
• Contribute ideas for improving QA processes, test coverage, and overall engineering quality.

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Strong experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Skill writing detailed, effective test cases and bug reports.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or similar.
• Comfort with browser developer tools and debugging web applications.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, authentication, and common API failure modes.
• Experience testing AI/LLM-powered applications and features.
• Experience testing complex workflows and integrations.
• Ability to work with databases and write basic SQL for data validation.
• Strong attention to detail and a knack for spotting edge cases.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote engineering team.
