About the Role
As a Software QA Manual Tester, you’ll work with product and engineering teams to find the major problems that lower the quality of the client’s application. That means testing use cases, reproducing bugs, and reporting them clearly so developers can get them fixed.
What You’ll Do
You’ll write, run, and maintain detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications, and choose the test approaches, techniques, and coverage for new features and releases under your supervisor’s general direction. When defects turn up, you’ll log and track them in a defect tracking system and drive them to timely resolution.
Your testing will span functional, regression, UI, usability, and exploratory work. Beyond finding issues, you’ll analyze results to uncover root causes and defect patterns, then recommend fixes and quality improvements. You’ll work with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and improve coverage, take part in test case reviews, help improve the overall test strategy, and guide business users through user acceptance testing (UAT), including test execution and defect triage.
