About RIVA Solutions

RIVA Solutions is a mission-driven IT services company and systems integrator founded in 2009, supporting digital transformation and modernization work for federal government agencies. The company describes itself as taking an employee-first approach and investing in its people, and it’s built around four core values: Results, Innovation, Values, and Accountability.

About the Role

This role supports testing and quality assurance for a federal client’s digital products and web modernization efforts, covering everything from test strategy and test cases through defect management, user acceptance testing (UAT) support, regression testing, and overall release readiness.

What You’ll Do

You’ll create and maintain test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria, regression suites, release checklists, and schedules across a range of work including web enhancements, Drupal migrations, content updates, search functionality, data visualizations, and microsites. On top of that, you’ll perform functional, integration, regression, browser, mobile, usability, content, and UAT support testing, and verify that requirements, user stories, and designs actually match what gets built.

When defects come up, you’ll log, prioritize, track, and retest them in Jira, join bug triage meetings, and coordinate fixes with developers, content staff, and accessibility specialists. A specific focus area is testing Drupal/WCMS migrations, including content parity, redirects, metadata, taxonomy, templates, search, and domain consolidation. You’ll also run basic accessibility checks and work alongside the Senior Trusted Tester on more detailed Section 508 testing, and use automation tools such as Selenium to expand regression coverage over time.

Beyond hands-on testing, you’ll report on testing progress, quality trends, open defects, release readiness, and risks, and help improve QA processes more broadly, including SOPs, templates, naming conventions, defect workflows, and metrics.
