About the Role

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is looking for a Test Engineer to join the test team supporting the GTIMS Program. You’ll be working hands-on with both manual and automated testing, helping make sure new releases are solid before they ship. The position is remote, though there’s an occasional need for weekend or nighttime work tied to deployment windows, generally less than 5% of the time. This is a long-term federal support role, so the pace tends to be steady and process-driven rather than fast-moving startup chaos.

What You’ll Do

• Design and run manual and automated tests, including setting up the data staging needed to support them
• Review test results carefully and write up defects to the team’s documentation standards
• Flag issues to architects and engineers early, so problems get addressed before they snowball
• Support the team through software deployment and testing phases
• Take part in Government Acceptance Testing demonstrations
• Work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while staying coordinated with a distributed team
• Pick up other development lifecycle tasks as they come up

What You’ll Need

• An active or current DoD Secret Clearance
• Either 4+ years of combined software/test engineering experience, or 2+ years of development plus 2+ years of automated testing
• Solid knowledge of formal testing methods and tooling
• Ability to configure and run performance tests
• Familiarity with Agile methodology
• SQL skills for querying and validating test data
• Experience with modern ticket management systems
• Comfort working independently with minimal supervisory direction
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• An active Security+ certification

Nice to Have

• Current knowledge of the G/TIMS program specifically
• Familiarity with the Air Force Network Environment
• DoD system development experience
• Background working on Agile teams
• Testing certifications such as ISTQB or equivalent

Because this role supports a cleared federal program, U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility and candidates will need to complete a background check. Experience with Microsoft Copilot or another approved AI solution is also expected.
