GovCIO is hiring a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Tester to support the Health Services Portfolio Technical Management and Strategic Solutioning Support (HTMS) program within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OIT). This is a fully remote role requiring a Suitability/Public Trust clearance, with core working hours of 8am to 5pm ET.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment to confirm the product performs to specification.
• Apply technical expertise on IT products, working with developers, end users, and organizations to build test plans and test scripts.
• Plan test events and coordinate the scheduling and resources needed to run them.
• Track problems and report on identified errors.
• Help maintain and update the defect database as issues are found and resolved.

What You’ll Need

• An active Suitability/Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one.
• Technical experience testing IT products and systems.
• Experience creating test plans, test scripts, and coordinating test events.
• Ability to work core hours of 8am-5pm ET in a fully remote setting.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with developers, end users, and stakeholders.
