Teacher’s Day is the perfect occasion to show appreciation for the mentors who guide us through life. This year, I decided to go the extra mile and create a special DIY paper greeting card that captures the essence of gratitude. The theme? A serene sky with clouds, stars, and a touch of magic. Here's how I made it!
Materials I Used
Blue cardstock paper (for the card base)
White and yellow paper (for clouds and stars)
Silver paper (for the moon)
A pair of scissors
Glue stick
A black pen or marker (for writing and detailing)
A small piece of thin, flexible paper (for the spiral spring)
Steps to Create the Card
Prepare the Card Base
I folded the blue cardstock paper in half to form the card base. The blue represents the sky, setting a peaceful and uplifting tone for the card.
Create the Spiral Spring
I cut a thin strip of white paper and twisted it into a spiral, ensuring it had some bounce to act as a spring when the card is opened.
Cut Out the Moon, Stars, and Clouds
Using silver paper, I cut out a crescent moon. From white paper, I crafted fluffy cloud shapes, and for the stars, I used yellow paper. I made sure each piece was small enough to fit inside the card while adding a playful, whimsical look.
