Has anyone mixed different flavor pellets in their grill? If so, what was the outcome?

many do, with professed great results. others say it (even pellet choice in general) doesnt matter.
both are correct. and there are reasons for both.
some people are experientially, physiologically (or biologically?) more attuned to noticing flavor differences. yes, even when it's primarily based on smell.
and if you're going to mix, you'll have more noticeable results if you start with verified single-species pellets.

Actually some pellets are already a mix of different wood pellets. Competition blend is the major example. I like to add charcoal or mesquite pellets to comp blend on occasion

Kona has a mesquite/acacia blend that is great.
