Seen a link on here about how to do poached eggs on the air fryer. People were commenting saying it's gone hard or crusty on top. The link missed 1 very important method to poached eggs; water. So here is how I do it and it works everytime. 1st boil a kettle. Then rub some butter around the edges and bottom (I tried oil but the eggs just stuck). Add the water, leaving about 2 inches at the top. Crack in the egg and then cook on AF 200/400 for 5 mins. Carefully lift out the ramekins with an oven glove or towel and slowly tip the water out into a siv.
Easier & quicker to drop them in to a pan of swirling boiling water!!
Nice.. Tip the water into sieve is this with the egg too do you mean out of the dishes thanks
Thank for that tip will use butter instead of oil as mine always stick do you heat your remikin first or do you let the hot water do that, one recipe for poched eggs says heat remikin in your air fryer on pre heat, but I must say yours egg looks great
