Discover a variety of easy handmade projects perfect for beginners and pros! Recently, I created a stunning geometric wall art piece using small wooden sticks, and it turned out amazing. If you love minimalistic and modern decor, this DIY project is a must-try. Follow along as I share the step-by-step process to transform simple materials into stylish home decor.

Materials I Used:
✔ Small wooden sticks (craft sticks or skewers)
✔ Hot glue gun and glue sticks
✔ Black spray paint
✔ Ruler and pencil
✔ Scissors (optional, for trimming sticks)
✔ Protective sheet or newspaper (for painting)
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Planning the Design
Before I started, I decided on a geometric shape for my decor. I love hexagons and triangles, so I sketched a rough idea on paper. This helped me visualize the structure and plan how many sticks I needed.
Step 2: Assembling the Wooden Sticks
I laid out the sticks according to my design and carefully glued them together using a hot glue gun. I worked slowly, making sure each joint was secure. To keep the angles sharp, I used a ruler to measure and align the sticks properly.
Step 3: Strengthening the Structure
Once I completed the basic shape, I reinforced the joints by adding extra glue. For a more layered look, I placed a few extra sticks on top to create a 3D effect.
Step 4: Spray Painting the Design
This was my favorite part! I placed the wooden structure on a protective sheet and took it outside to spray paint. I applied thin, even coats of black spray paint, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. This gave it a sleek, polished look.
Step 5: Letting It Dry and Displaying It
Once the paint dried completely, I was so happy with how it turned out! I decided to hang it on my wall using double-sided tape, but you could also use small nails or even frame it for a different effect.
I Love This DIY Project

✔ It’s budget-friendly – I used simple materials, so it didn’t cost much to make.
✔ It’s fully customizable – You can create any shape and use any color to match your decor.

I had so much fun making this DIY geometric decor, and it added a beautiful touch to my space. If you try it, let me know how it turns out! What shape would you choose for your design? 😊
