DIY Nano Tape Squishy Bubble Craft Ball – Fun, Easy, and Satisfying to Make!

I’m diving into a unique DIY project: a Nano Tape Squishy Bubble Craft Ball! This little craft is so fun and easy to make, and it’s incredibly satisfying to squish. I’ll walk you through each step, so you can try it too!

What I Used

Here’s what I gathered to make my own squishy bubble craft ball:

  • Nano Tape: This clear, flexible tape makes the perfect material for creating a squishy, transparent ball.
  • Liquid Filler: Water works great, or a mix of water and a bit of clear soap for an extra-squishy feel.
  • Glitter, Beads, or Small Sequins: Optional, but these add such a fun sparkle!
  • Straw: To help fill and inflate the bubble.
  • Scissors: For cutting the tape.
  • Tape for Sealing: Clear tape or another piece of nano tape for a clean, secure seal.

Step 1: Cutting and Prepping the Tape

First, I cut a piece of nano tape about 6 inches long. This size works well for a small bubble, but you can go bigger if you want a larger squishy ball. After cutting, I carefully peeled off the adhesive backing on one side.

Quick Tip: For a sturdier bubble, I folded the tape over itself, doubling the layer. It made the ball stronger and less likely to pop!

Step 2: Making the Bubble Shape

Next, I brought both ends of the tape together to form a circle, pressing firmly to make sure the edges stuck well. This formed a bubble shape, leaving a small opening to add the filling.

Step 3: Filling the Bubble

This is where things get fun! I inserted a straw into the small opening, then added some glitter and tiny beads to give it a little sparkle. After that, I slowly poured in water through the straw, inflating the bubble just enough to give it a squishy feel.

My Tip: It’s easy to overfill, so I added the water slowly. Too much liquid could make it harder to seal, and I wanted my bubble to squish, not pop!

Step 4: Sealing It Up

After filling, I carefully removed the straw and pressed the opening together. I used a small piece of tape to secure it tightly. I pressed along the seam, making sure no liquid could escape.

Step 5: Time to Squish!

With my Nano Tape Squishy Bubble Craft Ball sealed, it was ready to squish! I loved the soft, satisfying feel, and it was such a great little stress reliever. These are so fun to make, and it’s easy to get creative by using different fillers.

Personalizing My Craft Ball

Here are some ways I customized my squishy balls:

  • Colorful Fillers: Adding food coloring gave my bubbles a vibrant look.
  • Glow-in-the-Dark: Adding a bit of glow powder made it glow under lights!
  • Essential Oils: I even tried adding a drop of lavender essential oil for a calming scent.
