- Paint brush
- canvas or wooden board

Print photo on canvas – here’s how:
1. Before you print your photo, you first have to mirror it on your computer. You don’t need expensive editing software for this – your smartphone usually offers this option.
2. Next, print your mirrored photo on regular copy paper using an inkjet printer.

3. Apply a thick layer of gel medium for acrylic paints to your printed photo. This is available in specialist art supply stores. You can also buy special photo transfer glue these days, but it’s basically the same thing. Napkin glue is also suitable.
4. Place the wet paper on your surface with the image side down. To be on the safe side, you can also coat the surface with the gel or napkin glue beforehand.

5. Now let the whole thing dry for 24 hours. In the meantime, the glue dissolves the paint from the paper and binds it to a thin, transparent and waterproof glaze.
6. Finally, you need a sponge and some water. Wet the paper all over so that it is completely softened, but not dripping wet.

7. Now you just have to rub the damp paper off the surface with your fingers. This requires a little patience, but it’s also fun. As soon as the last crumb of paper has been rubbed off, the photo can be seen in all its glory.

Would you have thought that it is so easy to print a photo on canvas or wood? You can also use different images to make great collages and realize many other clever ideas.
